On The Cruise Ship - 'Crazy Pineapple'

Year

1971

Story

When Isaac returned from his cruise ship gig he also returned with a new lover called Scott McTavish, a new look, and a new style of pop. 'Crazy Pineapple' was about the medical complaints, or odd fetish, of their new bass player Jorge Estaban, also from the ship. Only the lyrics for this tune remain.

Lyrics

As I got up this morning I noticed that I had pineapple leaves Down my pants Spiky spiky abrasion Underpants invasion, kapow! Ow how And why now are these fruit leaves with me Maybe it’s because and without remorse I feel a little crazy Now I know what you’re thinking Will I ever stop blinking my eyes And grind my thighs Is it a new gyration Of problems I’m not facing but please I’m a happy guy A squirm around all day and scratch the blues away, he he And without a fee though it’s free to see I feel a little crazy But I know that these leaves have to go Yet it’s these spikes that have brought me my life back oh How get a replace these delicate golden greens Oh that’s right, the grocer has way more for me Now I’m free to go shopping Swagger, rustle, hop-scotching my way Up the street No-one has an inkling Of the red, purple and pinking affect In my pants But now with aloe vera, I feel the instant clearer, inside me No there’s nothing like aloe vera spikes I feel a little crazy I feel a little crazy
