Society Gigs - 'Medawaasi'
Year
1967
Story
The Colors reintroduced Eritrean bass player Ali Mahmood to the band who showed them new musical scales which they incorporated into the many jazz gigs they were doing around New York to fund their next album. They also reintroduced the Shofars as their full time horn section and wrote tunes such as 'Medawaasi'. They continued to play weddings for various communities.
