The Death of The Colors - 'So It Goes (We Were, The Colors)'
Year
1981
Story
The Colors agreed to attempt to record one last track with Bill Spades, itself being about never recording again. They continued to focus on their Colors Interactive Show, and Alex continued to make the album cover of the faces of various band members of the band over the years. While mixing the track, Bill Spades died of a heartattack. So it goes. The mixing was never completed.
Lyrics
The thing that we all inherently know but choose, to forget We all come knowing this is so, it all must end and so it goes We don't know what the future holds, but the thing we'll never ever do again Is write, and etch our tracks into the grooves of that plastic vinyl black Before we take the knives to our young chests, we'll sing this song and so it goes It's up to you to sing the rest And so and so it goes The lights the stage the audience the applause Will rise and fill the empty void But the void, it will remain Unsatisfied, we'll leave here just as when we came And so, And so it goes And so, And so it goes
We Were,
The Colors
